Upgrading your PC

Upgrading a PC is not a light task; upgrading means adding more memory, installing a bigger hard drive, getting a faster processor or a better graphic card.   Nevertheless, upgrading a processor will not make a major difference if the main board does not support the speed of that processor. The computer case may also limit your ability to upgrade your PC; if the case does not have an available bay it is not possible to add a DVD or a CD-RW.

Upgrading memory in your PC will allow more space to run application software and make surfing the Internet, downloading music and graphics from the Internet a more pleasurable experience.

Upgrading the operating system in your PC may also cause incompatibility issues. Before upgrading the operating system, you must make an assessment of all the peripherals attached to your PC to find out if they are compatible to the OS that you want to install and you need to have all the updated drivers handy. Otherwise, after upgrading your PC, you may find out that your printer or scanner cannot work anymore. Computer machines and devices are designed to operate with a specific operating system. We recommended having a certified technician upgrade your PC. Town Computer offers free upgrade with the purchase of the parts.
